IP7420 coatings can be applied directly to the metal of composite substrates or used over a suitable primer system. Suitable Primers are IP9064-6362 Chromate Primer and IP9064-6500 Non-chromate Primer. For Composite applications, it is recommended that the adhesion of IP7420 is tested before use.
Surface Preparation
Ensure that all surfaces are clean and free from dirt.
Paint Preparation
- Paint Mixing – the IP7420 requires mixing before use. Mix the Part A component and then add to the Part B. The coating can be mixed by add in A to B or B to A depending upon the volume required and available measuring vessels.
- Mixing Instructions - Refer to product range listings and label on the base component. The Part A+B mix requires thorough stirring before use. A minimum of 2 minutes per liter of product is recommended.
- Thinner/Reducer Addition - 665-550-025 Thinner
Application Method
Apply by spray. Small areas can be applied by brush.
