What makes biotrinsic™ different

biotrinsic™ consists entirely of endophytes. This means that it lives inside the plant and works from within the plant tissues. It doesn’t just live in the soil. biotrinsic™ delivers a range of benefi ts throughout the season:

  • Stress defense against drought and heat
  • Greater efficiency of water use
  • Nutrient use efficiency
  • Hormone production to assist root and plant growth

From Plants for Plants

biotrinsic™ comes from plants and is not discovered in a lab. It’s an all naturally occurring microbe that has been extracted from plants thriving in stressful conditions. We isolate microbes that are abundant in plants that are thriving under stress while other plants around them are not. This allows us to tailor our products to a specific crop and set of stresses.

Probiotics for Plants

By using endophytes, the plants have naturally selected to incorporate these into their own tissue. We apply them at a high concentration to maximize the benefit.

Indigo® microbial inoculant is a mixture of live microbes and an inert powder. To maintain performance of live microbes, the product must be applied and stored as recommended.

Application Instructions

Indigo® microbial inoculant is intended to be dispersed in water and applied as a liquid seed treatment. The product cannot be applied as a
dry powder to seed.

  • Powder may agglomerate. SHAKE WELL BEFORE USE. REMOVE DESICCANT POUCH BEFORE USE.
  • Clean the seed treating equipment and mix tank thoroughly before use. Ensure there is no residual water in the mix tank. Calibrate the seed treater per standard procedures.
  • If desired, the Indigo® microbial inoculant can be tank mixed with fungicides, insecticides, pesticides, polymers, or other seed treatments.
  • The Indigo® microbial inoculant can be dispersed in water (or into a Rhizobium inoculant for soybeans) at the ratio below:
  • Add 0.09 pounds of the product to 0.25 gallons of water
  • Allow for five minutes of mixing to ensure the product is well dispersed in the mix tank before starting seed treatment.
  • Agitation must be maintained in the mix tank during seed treatment to limit settling of the product.
  • The Indigo® microbial inoculant must be used within 8 hours after mixing into water.
How it works
  • Drought: Improves water uptake effi ciency and plant health under water-limited conditions
  • Increases microbial colonization in the root zone
