Birch bark makes an excellent biodegradable exfoliator in cosmetics, replacing for example microplastics in a ecological way. The bark is dried, powdered and sieved for commercial use.

Innomost Dried Birch Bark

Betula alba bark extract, or Betulin, is isolated from wild Finnish birch bark, and can be used as an active ingredient in cosmetic products. Betula alba bark extract is available as natural beige powder. Betulin is available as white powder.

Isolated suberin acid mixture made from wild Finnish birch bark can be commercially used e. g. As an active ingredient and gelling agent in cosmetic products. Available in five different compositions and properties.

Innomost’s biodegradable polar polymeric ester oil is made of birch bark. First of its kind, Biremol can be commercially applied e. g. As emollient in different vegan and allergen-free cosmetics, producing a silky skin feeling.

This product is the world’s first birchbark-based Azelaic Acid, making it a sustainable alternative for applicable formulations. It’s commercial applications include serving as an active ingredient in anti-acne and anti-rosacea products.

Birches are grown in the Finnish wilderness. After harvesting, the wood is pyrolyzed, powdered and sieved into a fine powder. The product can be incorporated into black-colored formulations to use in commercial applications such as cleansing masks and mascaras.
