- Green Chemistry & Sustainable Life Cycle Highlights
Sustainable Design: Sustainability is embedded in INOLEX's design philosophy. ProCondition™ Sativa design was guided by the Principles of Green Chemistry and life cycle thinking.
The following are the green chemistry & sustainable life cycle highlights:
- Non-toxic to aquatic life
- Non-irritating to skin or eyes
- Energy-saving manufacturing process
- 82% biobased feedstocks
- Readily biodegradable
One Step Energy-Saving Manufacturing Process: The synthesis of ProCondition™ Sativa employs a novel one-step transamidation instead of the traditional amidoamine multi-step process. This saves energy in manufacture estimated to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 642 MB for every 1300 MT amidoamine produced.

Technical Details & Test Data
- Science Behind
- ProCondition™ Sativa is an amidoamine with a predominantly C18 fatty acyl composition.
- The amine functionality is cationically charged below pH 6.5. The cationic group binds to anionically charged hair fibers. The C18 tail group provides lubricity and conditioning benefits.
- In emulsions, ProCondition™ Sativa forms lamellar liquid crystals (LLCs) when combined with fatty alcohol. These structures can stabilize high oil loads and provide a soft, powdery and non-greasy feel.
