"In the late 70's, the Ziebarth family turned their development and manufacturing expertise towards a promising new technology. Inspired by the successful use of ceramic materials in the NASA space program to reflect, refract and dissipate heat during vehicle re-entry, a step forward was taken to apply that same durable, protective and energy-efficient principles to a coating that could be used in roofing, wall and industrial applications. A new company was formed, ""Insulating Coatings Corporation"". Our mission since 1985 has been to dedicate ourselves to the production of high quality, environmentally friendly, fluid-applied membranes and systems that solve industrial problems, improve appearance and save energy, while adding to the weather tight sustainability of restored roofs, walls and industrial surfaces. The success of that mission continues to surpass our most optimistic hopes and projections. As a result, ICC has become a world leader in ceramic coating technology. Today ICC manufactures a broad spectrum of fluid-applied membrane systems for the sustainable restoration of roofs, walls, tanks, piping, ductwork and other industrial surfaces. Our elastomeric products and component systems provide seamless, waterproof and weather tight barriers, as well as providing high solar reflectivity and dissipation of heat, all while reducing UV light degradation. ASTEC coatings can add advantages to virtually any substrate and lead to maintenance and energy cost reductions.
