The Latin name for Camu Camu is Myrciaria dubia. It can also be referred to as camucamu, cacari, or camocamo. Myrciaria dubia is a small bushy tree that usually grows by the rivers in the Amazon forest in Peru. It can reach up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) in height and is known as high source of vitamin C. Vitamin C is mostly stored in the Camu Camu fruit which usually has red and purple colors and looks similar to cherry.
