- Free water and vapor is a common impurity found in natural gas. Natural gas pipeline moisture specifications can be difficult to meet. Desiccants can lower relative humidity to an acceptable level, although common desiccants often do not take out enough water to meet more stringent specifications. LD 45 is three times more effective than the more common desiccants. LD 45 effectively lowers relative humidity to meet gas pipeline specifications.
- LD 45 can be used by itself or in combination with CD 50. In this application the gas flows through the CD 50 tower first removing most of the moisture and then through the LD 45 to meet pipeline specifications. This arrangement is more cost efficient because the LD 45 lasts much longer in the vessel.
