  • Excellent non-sag properties designed for deeper lifts per application.
  • Superb workability and finishing properties.
  • Can be shaven to meet architectural requirements.
  • Excellent freeze-thaw resistance.
  • Pre-measured units, no water needed.
  • Dries concrete gray.

Applications & Uses

Application Area
Compatible Substrates & Surfaces
Use
  • IPATOP VO is ideal for the horizontal concrete repairs where high early strength gain is required for a fast project turnover.
  • Applications include, interior/exterior, structural concrete repairs, bridge decks, parking decks, industrial floors, airport runways.
Coverage

Yield is 0.45 cubic feet (0.01 cubic meter).

Surface Preparation
  • Substrate to be repaired must be cleaned of any film, scale, loose material, oils, grease and any other foreign material that will prohibit bond.
  • Surface preparation must be achieved by mechanical means and methods.
  • IPATOP VO may be feather edged for non-traffic bearing areas.
  • Surface must be SSD (Surface Saturated Dry) prior to application of IPATOP VO.
Mixing
  • Mixing may be done manually (small quantity) or mechanically (Jiffy® mixer or mortar mixer).
  • Shake Component A thoroughly and add to mixing container.
  • Mix as the Component B is added.
  • Mix for 3 minutes until the mortar is uniform in consistency.
  • When batching, the correct mixing ratio, by weight, is required.
Product Application
  • While the surface is SSD, scrubbed mortar thoroughly into the substrate to insure proper bond (Apply to scrub coat while wet, do not apply to dry scrub coat). Work material against the edges of the repair area and then towards center making sure to consolidate mortar.
  • For deep repairs multiple lifts can be achieved. For multiple lifts, score the top surface of each lift to provide a surface profile for the next lift.
  • Allow material to reach a harden state before applying a new lift. Minimum lift is 1/8 inch and maximum is 1.5 inches. Each lift must be SSD followed by a scrub coat.
  • For final finish - After initial set is attained, mortar may be sculptured or finished to desired shape. Wood, sponge or steel trowel may be used, depending upon desired finish.
  • Curing is strongly recommended by ACI practices. Immediately following finishing, moist cure with burlap and polyethylene, or a fine mist of clean water or a water based curing compound conforming to ASTM C-309 standards.
  • Do not apply curing compound between lifts, it will affect the adhesion of the next lift.
Limitations
  • Minimum material, surface and ambient temperature must be 45°F and rising.
  • Minimum application: 1/8 Inch
  • Maximum lift: 1.5 inches
  • Do not apply to a frozen surface or allow material to freeze.
  • Do not use solvent based curing compounds.
Clean Up

Clean up must be done immediately due to the high bonding characteristics of IPATOP VO. Clean equipment with water.
