SPE 0881 is a specialty phosphonate, it is an inherently biodegradable chelant from natural origin. SPE 0881 has been tested for bottle washing detergents, can be considered for other applications where a better environmental profile is needed.

It prevents the degradation catalyzed by heavy metals and at the same time the low level of chloride helps preventing the corrosion of metals.
