- For HI&I formulations, S-I 80 functions as an emulsifier for waxes, polishes and cleaners. In personal care applications, S-I 80 provides emulsification and acts as an emollient and lubricant to creams and lotions. S-I 80 also functions as an emulsifier for explosives, emulsion polymerization, boiler water additives, and leather tanning processes.
