Lomel® grades of plastic film and bags are suitable for packaging blended and pre-weighed additives used in mixing rubber and plastic compounds. The key property to consider is the melting point needed for the application. Other important properties to consider are the physical strength of the film and the cost. In general, the higher the melting point, the stronger the physical properties. The lower the melting point, the higher the bag cost.

Lomel

LM-205 is ethylene copolymer film. The LM-205 line of plastic film and bags are derived from a family of ethylene copolymers made using the Metallocene or Single Site catalyst technology. They have demonstrated excellent chemical resistance and have a low water vapor transmission rate for packaging moisture-sensitive materials. LM-205 film has proven to make a good middle-range melting bale wrap were stripping the film has been a problem with other polyolefin materials. Testing should be done to determine optimum sealing temperatures.

Lomel® 215

LM-145 is ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer film. The LM-145 grade of plastic film and bags is derived from ethylene copolymers made using the Metallocene or Single Site catalyst technology. LM-145 film and bags are the lowest melting batch inclusion material on the market today. They can be heat sealed and printed. Testing should be done to determine optimum sealing temperatures.
