Zinc pyrithione is commonly used to prevent degradation caused by microbial growth in a wide range of industrial applications. Formulations will differ by composition, application and susceptibility of microbial attack. It is recommended to test biocide levels at multiple treat rates (3000, 4000, 5000 ppm) to gage efficacy in particular applications. Industry standard laboratory testing is available from Janssen to help with particular formulation questions.
