1. Cautions
Most polyether polyols are almost non-toxic except for food and other substances, and have no irritation to the skin. Even if they directly enter the eyes, they are soap-like irritants. No damage to the cornea. Generally, the toxicity of neutral polyether polyols ingested into the mouth or in contact with skin, eyes, and mucous membranes is negligible, so there is no need for personal protective measures during use. Amine-based polyether polyol can irritate the skin and eyes because of its alkalinity, so you should wear protective equipment such as safety glasses and gloves during operation.
2. First aid measures First Aid Treatment- After skin contact with polyether polyol, it can be washed with tap water and soap. If skin pain occurs, please seek medical attention immediately.
- Eye contact: can be cleaned with low-pressure water, and seek medical attention immediately.
- Inhalation/swallowing: if you accidentally inhale polyols, transfer to fresh air and seek medical attention immediately;
- If you accidentally swallow polyols, dilute with plenty of water immediately. Do not induce vomiting by yourself. Patients should seek medical attention immediately.

Storage & Handling

Polyether polyol products are generally cleaned , Packed in dry, sealed, leak-free iron drums. Avoid sunlight, rain, and fire sources during storage. Because of its hygroscopicity, do not come into direct contact with the air. Avoid open flames, and avoid prolonged heating in the air. In particular, thermal insulation materials and clothing permeated by polyether polyols tend to catch fire naturally, so be careful. The product is not subject to flammable liquid storage regulations, but it should be avoided to enter groundwater or surface water because it is not easily biodegraded. When spilled, cover it with permeable materials such as sawdust, yellow sand, cloth, etc., and then shovel it to the waste recycling place and remove it from the workplace for sewage disposal. In case of fire, use foam, dry powder, dry ice, water, etc. to extinguish the fire.
