JSC Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant

About Us

" Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant was established in 1958 as a pilot plant within the Sterlitamak Synthetic Rubber Plant. On December 28, 1963, the first experimental batch of SKI-3 isoprene rubber was received. This day is considered the date of foundation of the plant. In the history of domestic petrochemistry, the plant is known as the founder of isoprene rubber production. In 1965, the first batches of light isoprene rubber were obtained, which is used in the light and food industries. Thanks to the successful work of the Sterlitamak petrochemical plant for the production of isoprene rubber, several similar plants were built in the country using the technology of Sterlitamak chemists. The production grew and developed and already in 1966 the pilot production from the Sterlitamak synthetic rubber plant was separated into an independent ""Experimental industrial plant SKI-3"". It was an experimental base for the synthetic rubber industry, where, together with the processing of new technological processes, the construction of industrial facilities for the production of petrochemical products was carried out. In 1976, the ""Experimental Industrial Plant SKI-3"" will be renamed into the ""Experimental Industrial Petrochemical Plant"", and in 1991. will be named ""Sterlitamak Petrochemical Plant""."
