CITROFOL

ERYLITE® is a novel bulk sweetener with a caloric value close to zero. Chemically, it is a four-carbon sugar alcohol (polyol). ERYLITE® is produced by microbial fermentation of a carbohydrate substrate. It is the only sugar alcohol that is considered to be natural.

ERYLITE® is a white odorless crystalline material or powder of high purity. ERYLITE® occurs naturally in a wide variety of foods, including many fruits and mushrooms, as well as in fermented foods such as cheese, wine, beer, and soy sauce. Its sweetening profile is very close to sucrose, while its sweetness amounts up to 60 - 70 % of the sweetness of sucrose.

ERYLITE®'s metabolic profile is unique. It is readily absorbed in the small intestine and is excreted unchanged. Only about 5 % of the intrinsic caloric value of ERYLITE® is provided to the body. This metabolic profile leads to the extremely low effective caloric value of ERYLITE®.

ERYLITE® is non-cariogenic and has a zero glycemic index. ERYLITE® has the highest digestive tolerance of all polyols used in food.

Jungbunzlauer ERYLITE® (erythritol) is a naturally occurring sugar alcohol, produced commercially by microbial fermentation of a carbohydrate substrate. According to INCI ERYLITE® is approved as moisturizer and humectant. The moisturizing properties are particularly useful for creams and lotions of all kinds. Attractive humectant properties are especially revealed in oral care products such as toothpaste in which ERYLITE® can also serve as a powerful taste enhancement agent.

Jungbunzlauer CITROFOL® AI has been registered according to REACH Regulation at the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) in 2013.CITROFOL® AI consists 100 % out of natural materials, citric acid and ethanol, and is used as flavor and carrier for flavors in the food industry. It is also permitted as a processing aid to whip egg whites. In the personal care industry CITROFOL® AI is used as solvent, diluent and fixative by perfumers. It is well accepted as an active ingredient in deodorants; it inhibits the enzymatic decomposition of sweat components. CITROFOL® AI is a cosmetic raw material approved by ECOCERT GREENLIFE, conform to COSMOS Standard. In pharmaceutical applications CITROFOL® AI contributes as plasticiser to the performance of enteric-coated tablets.

The pharmacological and ecological safety of citrate esters turns them to versatile ingredients in the personal care industry with excellent dermatological compatibility.The plasticising properties of CITROFOL® BII give nail lacquer improved elasticity and vaporization of solvent after application. Additionally the film is well protected against UV-light.

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Trimagnesium Citrate meets the requirements of the US Pharmacopeia (USP) and/or the European Pharmacopeia (Ph.Eur.) always in their latest versions.Trimagnesium Citrates are produced by complete neutralization of citric acid with a high purity magnesium source, subsequent precipitation and dehydration. The two commonly available forms are trimagnesium citrate anhydrous and trimagnesium citrate nonahydrate. In some countries such as USA, trimagnesium citrate is simply denominated magnesium citrate. Trimagnesium citrate is mainly used as mineral source in food supplements, foods for particular nutritional purposes, and pharmaceutical preparations. Comparable to other magnesium salts, it shows a laxative effect at higher dosage levels. An agglomerated trimagnesium citrate anhydrous is available for direct compression of tablets. Being an excellent desiccant, it is commonly used to stabilize dry blends and to protect water sensitive ingredients. Magnesium citrates are organic mineral sources and are preferred in many applications to inorganic sources because of their superior bioavailability and physiological compatibility. Trimagnesium citrate anhydrous has the highest magnesium content (16%) among the organic magnesium sources commonly used, the magnesium content of the nonahydrate is 12%. Trimagnesium citrate is supplied as a white to almost white powder. It is practically odorless, soluble in water, freely soluble in diluted acid and practically insoluble in ethanol (96%). generally, hydrated forms of trimagnesium citrates are less soluble than the anhydrous type.granulation types are available as Powder and TMC GN.

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Zinc Citrate is specified according to the latest edition of the USP.Zinc citrate is available as dihydrate and trihydrate and is produced by complete neutralization of citric acid with a high purity zinc source, subsequent precipitation and dehydration. Zinc citrate is mainly used in dental care products such as toothpastes, mouthwashes and chewing gums due to its antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effects and its ability to reduce or inhibit the formation of dental plaque and tartar. In pharmaceuticals, zinc citrate fights common colds. Zinc is increasingly used in food supplements, functional foods and beverages. As an organic mineral source it is preferred in many applications over inorganic sources because of its superior bioavailability, physiological compatibility and nearly neutral taste compared to other zinc salts. Among the organic zinc salts zinc citrate has one of the highest zinc content (31%). Zinc citrate is supplied as a white to almost white powder. It is practically odorless, slightly soluble in water, soluble in diluted acid and practically insoluble in ethanol (96%). Zinc citrate has an inverse solubility.

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG GLUCONO-DELTA-LACTONE is supplied in accordance with the latest requirements of the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) and of Commission Regulation (EU) No 231/2012.GdL is available as food grade and Personal Care grade.For food grade we offer a granular and powder material and for Personal Care grade we offer a granular material.Glucono-1,5-Lactone or GdL is a neutral cyclic ester of gluconic acid, produced with the acid by fermentation of glucose. It is separated from the acid by crystallization. GdL is a fine, white crystalline powder, freely soluble in water. It is practically odorless and has a slightly sweet taste. Non toxic, it is completely metabolized in the body like a carbohydrate. When added into an aqueous solution, GdL rapidly dissolves, and subsequently slowly hydrolyses to gluconic acid, thus producing a gentle acidification in the same way as lactic acid-producing bacteria. In solution both gluconic acid and GdL are always in balance. The equivalent point and the rate of transformation are related to concentration, temperature and pH-value. Two properties set GdL apart from other common acids and are the base of its application range:.

Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG Citric Acid Anhydrous is supplied in accordance with the current requirements of the European Pharmacopeia (Ph. Eur), the United States Pharmacopeia (USP), the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC), and the Commission Regulation (EU) No. 231/2012.Citric acid is the most widely used organic acid and pH-control agent in foods, beverages, pharmaceuticals and technical applications. Citric acid anhydrous occurs as colorless crystals or as white, crystalline powder with a strongly acidic taste. It is very soluble in water, freely soluble in ethanol (96 %) and sparingly soluble in ether. Citric acid anhydrous is non-toxic and has a low reactivity. It is chemically stable if stored at ambient temperatures.Citric acid anhydrous is fully biodegradable and can be disposed of with regular waste or sewage.
