Glycol component in polyesters, polyurethane or epoxy resin for automotive, marine, protective coating. It is prepared when Bis-phenol A is reacted with 2.2 moles of propylene oxide in the presence of 45% KOH. The catalyst is adsorbed with magnesium silicate and removed by filtration.
