SurePoxy HMLV Class B is recommended for use in temperatures of 32oF-65oF, as a lowviscosity, penetrating adhesive. SurePoxy HMLV Class B is ideal for pressure injection high modulus grouting. When mixed with SurePoxy Aggregate, it provides an excellent setting bed for precast concrete, marble and granite or a repair mortar.
- Directions
Surface Preparation: Concrete - Surface must be clean and sound. It may be dry or damp but free of standing water. Remove laitance, and all foreign matter as per ASTM D-4258 and D-4259. Waterblasting followed by shotblasting is the preferred method of preparation, to provide a fractured aggregate profile. Also satisfactory are sandblasting or shotblasting individually. Acid etching according to ASTM D-4260 with Kaufman Products Concrete Floor Etch or 15-20% muriatic acid solution can be used as an alternative. Wash acid and loose mortar off with high-pressure water until slush is removed. Test with litmus paper to be sure acid is removed. Final rinse with 1% ammonia solution is beneficial for final rinsing after acid. Steel - Sandblast to appropriate finish.
Proportioning/Mixing: The volumetric ratio of SurePoxy HMLV Class B is 2:1. To mix, proportion 2 parts A and 1 part B into a clean pail. Mix thoroughly for 1 minute with paddle on low speed (400-600 rpm) drill until blend is a uniform color. Add up to approximately 7 parts by volume SurePoxy Aggregate to 1 part neat SurePoxy HMLV Class B to produce a mortar. Mix thoroughly.
Application: Grout Cracks - Gravity feed SurePoxy HMLV Class B into horizontal cracks, pressure inject into vertical or overhead cracks, after sealing. Anchor bolts - Use either neat or with SurePoxy Grout Aggregate, added at the rate of 5-7 parts to 1 part of SurePoxy HMLV Class B by volume.
Mortar - Mix with SurePoxy Mortar Aggregate, added at the rate of 5-7 parts to 1 part SurePoxy HMLV Class B by volume.

Safety & Health
- Precautions
Do not thin SurePoxy HMLV Class B. Do not apply to surfaces below 40°F, unless checking with the factory first. Pot life will vary due to different temperatures. . If used at temperatures greater than 60°F, the reaction time is very fast and subsequently should be extended with aggregates when any sizeable mass is utilized. Likewise when using at temperatures approaching 32F, the product should not be extended with aggregate. Contractor shall use the test method prescribed in ACI 503R to determine that the preparation produced a surface capable of providing tensile bond strength greater than 250 psi. During cold weather periods, be sure frost and/or ice is off concrete before applying SurePoxy HMLV Class B because it cannot adhere well to ice crystals. SurePoxy HMLV Class B is a vapor barrier after cure. Read Safety Data Sheet before using. Please refer to the General Epoxy Instructions for complete details on proper application during cold and hot weather.
