  • KEBO DS is a nitrogen and phosphate-free, low-molecular polyelectrolyte to prevent deposits in evaporation stations in the beet and cane sugar industry. 
  • KEBO DS is able to keep calcium ions in solution in the presence of oxalate, sulfate and phosphate ions in boiling sugar solutions with sub-stoichiometric dosages under conditions that normally lead to precipitation of the scale-forming substances (so-called THRESHOLD Effect).

  • KEBO DS NOUVEAU is considered to keep in dissolution especially calcium ions in presence of oxalate, sulfate and phosphate ions in boiling sugar solutions at substoichiometric dosage on conditions which normally cause a precipitation of the scale forming agents (so called THRESHOLD-Effect).
  • Besides its excellent high metal ion binding capacity KEBO DS NOUVEAU shows good dispersing properties. KEBO DS NOUVEAU is of particular advantage when being used in the sugar or ethanol industry as it is not volatile at high temperatures, temperature-stable and completely resistant to hydrolysis.
Addition and Dosing

In sugar industry KEBO DS NOUVEAU is added in diluted or undiluted form to the thin juice before entering the evaporation station by means of a dosing unit or dosing pumps.
The following dosing rates are guide values:

  • 10 - 25 ppm KEBO DS NOUVEAU = 10 - 25 g/m³ thin juice dependent on the parameters at site such as composition of juice and heat exchanger load.
  • In ethanol distilleries KEBO DS NOUVEAU is added diluted or undiluted at 10 – 70 ppm (depending on the exact dosing points within the process).

Hints for the Application in Food Processing Factories

In case of proper application KEBO DS NOUVEAU complies with the requirements of the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB, revised version by announcement of 15.09.2021).
