- Advantages
- Time efficient and economical.
- The remobilized organic deposits are transported by the dispersing effect of KEBOPLEX VP 1212 to places where they can be removed from the system by desalination and / or filtration.
- Product Highlights
- In systems that are already contaminated, KEBOPLEX VP 1212 penetrates into existing biofilms and facilitates the direct transport of the biocides used to the microorganisms. The entire program for cleaning water carrying systems is more economical and time-effective.
- The complexing agents serve as hardness stabilizer, dispersing agent, wetting agent, emulsifier, corrosion protection additive.
- Surface and well water are generally not suitable for direct feed into cooling systems because they contain dissolved salts and undissolved solid particles which, when heated, can impair the functioning of the equipment by fouling the surfaces.
- The use of our products for watertreatment prevent the formation of deposits throughout the system. For follow-up treatment of dry cleaning we recommend KEBOPEX.
Applications & Uses
- Applications
- Applicable Processes
- I&I Cleaning Applications
- Use Level
- 100 - 200 g/m³ (Intense cleaning of highly contamined systems)
- Applications
- KEBOPLEX VP 1212 is an emulsion on the basis of terpenes in water to disperse organic contaminations in process water systems and open cooling plants.
- Consequently the formation of mucus on heat exchangers and condensers is efficiently prevented.
- In already contaminated systems KEBOPLEX VP 1212 penetrates existing biofilms and facilitates the direct transport of the biocides to the microorganisms. The whole program for the cleaning of water bearing systems is carried out more economically and more efficiently in the time sequence.
- The dispersing effect of KEBOPLEX VP 1212 enables the remobilized organic deposits to be transported to places where they can be removed from the system by blow down or filtration.
Addition
- KEBOPLEX VP 1212 is added in undiluted form by means of a dosing unit at places of high turbulence (e.g. at the suction side of pumps) to enable a good distribution in the system.
- For tanks, pipings and pumps which come into contact with KEBOPLEX VP 1212 plastic material should be used.
- Dosing
- The dosing of KEBOPLEX VP 1212 is dependent on parameters such as temperature, retention time, organic load and should be effected until a concentration of 20 - 100 g/m³ KEBOPLEX VP 1212 is reached in the circuit.
- For the intense cleaning of highly contamined systems 100 - 200 g/m³ could be added as shock dosing in combination with oxidizing biocides (chlorine, hypochlorite, hydrogen peroxide).
- For this purpose the blow down of the system should be stopped for 2 - 4 hours. Then the blow down rate has to be highly increased exceeding the standard rate to remove the dispersed organics from the system.
- Areas of Application
- Cooling water circuits, process water systems and open recooling systems, heat exchangers, condensers, water-carrying systems.
- Dispersion of organic impurities, prevention of mucus build-up.
- Uses
Scale prevention in cooling, evaporation systems and alcohol extraction plants and additive for cleaning in alkaline media.
