  • Due to its special formulation, KEBOSPUM AS has the property of immediately distributing itself in the medium to be defoamed and just as quickly finding its way into emerging interfaces in order to displace foam-forming substances (saponins, proteins, etc.) that have already accumulated in them.
  • The KEBOSPUM AS is always dosed with dosing pumps.

Applications
  • Based on its special formulation KEBOSPUM AS has the ability to immediately distribute in the medium to be defoamed and to rapidly enter the interface being formed. As a consequence already accumulated foam forming agents (saponins, proteins and others) are displaced.
  • The processes taking place at the interface when foam is being formed show that antifoams of a certain kind can develop their highest efficiency only within a particular range of temperature. KEBOSPUM AS has been formulated for a temperature range from 0 to 30°C.
  • Therefore, the main application field in the sugar factory is the whole flume water cycle comprising flushing of beets, beet pre-washing, beet transport and beet washing as well as the beet tail transport and preparation.
Areas of Application

Sugar factories, alluvial water circuit with beet spraying, prewashing, transport and washing as well as with tails transport and tails treatment.

Addition and Dosing
  • The addition of KEBOSPUM AS is always effected by means of dosing pumps. Simple diaphragm pumps are sufficient. Pumps designed for this particular purpose can be ordered with us at favorable prices.
  • The dosing points should always be at places with high turbulence like the suction side of pumps or control valves to ensure a homogeneous distribution of KEBOSPUM AS already within the foam forming areas.
  • The necessary dosing rates can quickly and easily be determined at site by variation of the pump adjustment. In general the addition of 10 to 50 ppm in the foaming area will be sufficient.

Hints for the Application in Food Processing Factories

In case of proper application KEBOSPUM AS complies with the requirements of the German Food and Feed Code (LFGB, revised version by announcement of 15.09.2021).
