Features & Benefits
- Advantages
- Due to its special formulation, it has the property of distributing itself instantly in the medium to be defoamed, and of settling just as quickly in the interfaces that are formed, in order to displace any foam-forming substances (saponins, proteins, etc.) present therein.
- Shows an equally high foam-destroying power in all liquids.
- This is independent of the pH value and the type and concentration of dissolved substances, as well as of different residence times in the sugar-containing juices.
- Is not volatile in water vapor.

- Applications
- Although KEBOSPUM KIL is a surface active agent itself the foaming power is extremely low and the product acts by suppressing the foam when being added to liquids which tend to form foam. Based on its special formulation KEBOSPUM KIL has furthermore the ability to immediately distribute in the medium to be defoamed and to rapidly reach the interfaces being formed displacing the existing foamforming agents (saponins, proteins, a.s.o.).
- KEBOSPUM KIL shows in all liquids a constantly high foam-destructing ability which is independent of the pH-value and kind and concentration of dissolved substances as well as of different retention times in the sugar juice.
- KEBOSPUM KIL is not steam-volatile.
- It can be explained by the mechanism of the processes at the interfaces that special kinds of defoamers can only be most effective at particular temperatures. KEBOSPUM KIL has been formulated for a temperature range from 40°C and higher.
- Thus it can be used in the following fields:
Raw Juice Area Inlet of cossettes, defoaming systems, pulp press water systems Juice Purification liming tanks, lime milk tanks, carbonatations, decanters Cooking station Vacuum apparatus
- Areas of Application
Raw juice area: cossette feed, defoamer systems, press water systems. Juice purification: Lime vessels, milk of lime vessels, carbonation systems, decantation systems Cooking station: vacuum apparatuses
- Addition and Dosing
- The dosing of KEBOSPUM KIL is always effected by means of dosing pumps. Simple diaphragm pumps can be made use of but due to the high viscosity, suction and discharge lines as well as valves have to be of larger nominal diameter.
- The dosing points should always be at places of high turbulence like the suction side of pumps or control valves to ensure a homogeneous distribution of KEBOSPUM KIL already within foamforming areas.
- The necessary dosing quantities can rapidly and easily be determined at site by variation of the pump adjustment. The general requirement will be10 - 20 ppm, max. 30 ppm with regard to juice.
