Khepra Carboxymethyl Lignin

Carboxymethyl Lignin, or CML, is a bioderived surfactant for industrial applications, specifically agriculture and agricultural adjuvants. CML is made from lignocellulosic biomass, which is commonly found in agricultural and forestry waste such as corn stover or sawdust. Carboxymethyl lignin is significantly milder and nontoxic in comparison to common surfactants used in agrochemical products, such as alkylphenol ethoxylates (APEs). The manufacturing process for CML is net carbon negative, and the surfactant itself is biodegradable.
