K-THIO VG25 is a biocide to prevent the microbiological growth causing significant damage during the tanning process and furriery operations. K-THIO VG25 can be applied during the various tanning leather processes like, on pickled skin, tanning and re-tanning. Also is suitable for conservation of pickled hides and wet blue stocks thanks to its high fungicide power.

K-THIO VG25 is effective and stable in acid and alkaline medium, from pH 3,0 to 8,5. Usage doses will depend on the existent contamination and the particular conditions of each case. As a rule, K-THIO VG25 is applied at doses from 0,02 to 0,30% based on the total weight of the hides, although the dose will depend on the existent contamination and the particular conditions of each case.

The two active ingredients, TCMTB and OIT meet the basic criteria for the award of the ecolabel under "Blue Angel" according to rule RAL-Uz -117 (low emission upholstered furniture, TCMTB to 500 ppm. And OIT to 100 ppm.)

Storage Stability

During storage keep containers tightly closed away from heat or ignition sources. Keep the product in well ventilated areas sheltered from the sunlight. Avoid temperatures below 0ºC and above 40ºC.
