SYLVARES TP 96 resin is a low softening point terpene phenolic resin having broad polymer compatibility. This thermoplastic resin is designed to tackify hot melt and pressure sensitive adhesives providing improved tack, peel and flexibility for EVA, SIS and acrylic based systems. When formulated as a co-resin, this product will significantly improve performance and properties of styrenic block copolymers based adhesives with limited impact on heat resistance.

Solubility

SYLVARES™ TP 96 tackifier is soluble in:

  • aromatic / aliphatic solvents like hexane & toluene
  • esters and ketones like ethylacetate and acetone
  • longer chain alcohols like propanol, pentanol, butanol

SYLVARES TP 96 tackifier is insoluble in:

  • smaller alcohols like ethanol

Storage & Handling

Storage Recommendation

To preserve product quality, storage and transit dry and below 25°C / 77°F is recommended. To prevent remassing, keep away from direct sun light or other sources of heat. Product stored or transported at higher temperatures should be evaluated for impact on performance before use.
