KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 by Kuraray is a water-soluble, partially saponified, odorless polyvinyl alcohol. Its aqueous solution can be added to polymer emulsions already stabilized with polyvinyl alcohol which affects the extension of the open time, setting speed and rheology. It is manufactured by alcoholysis of polyvinyl acetate. It is designed for use in remoistenable adhesives. KURARAY POVAL™ 3-85 complies with EU Directive 67/548/EC.
