    Applications

AB RUST®CH4 is mainly recommended for:

    • flash-rust protection of water based anticorrosive primers, paints and varnishes based on acrylic, styrene-acrylic, alkyd, epoxy, polyurethane dispersions or emulsions
    • in-can protection for metal packaging filled with above products

AB RUST®CH4 added in post-addition is the simplest way of introduction. The use levels are:

    • typically, from 0.3 to 1% based on the total weight

There is no advantage to use higher levels. On the contrary, a too high dosage can increase the water sensitivity of the dry film.
