Laboratoires Expanscience Avocado Oil / Premium Avocado Oil

Laboratoires Expanscience Avocado Oil / Premium Avocado Oil is very stable due, in particular, to a specific refining process, including a winterization step. The balanced composition of avocado oil (fatty acids, essential fatty acids, unsaponifiables) makes it suitable for sensitive skin care. Avocado oil has excellent moisturizing and nourishing properties. Thanks to its specific free fatty acids composition, it presents a very good compatibility with skin hydrolipidic film. Its emollient and softening effects help to regenerate and rejuvenate the skin. Avocado oil is originating from African and Latin American sustainable sourcing. This preservative-free ingredient is approved by Ecocert Greenlife.

Features & Benefits

Product Background

From South America and Mexico, the avocado tree and its fruit, the avocado, have been known about and used for a long time: for the Maya and Aztec Indians, the avocado was a basic component of their diet and also cosmetic hair and body moisturizing treatments (oil / pulp). The leaves and bark are also used in phytotherapy (digestive problems/coughs). Today, the avocado is prized for its nutritional value and can also be found in California, Africa, Australia and Israel.

The avocado has been a product of excellence at Laboratoires Expanscience for over 30 years. By choosing to work with local partners through our South African, Mexican and Peruvian avocado suppliers, we are taking concrete steps to fight deforestation, encourage best cultural practices based on tradition and contribute to strengthening the producer’s economy and society.

The oil is obtained by cold-pressing the dehydrated fruit, a procedure exclusive to Expanscience drawing on our pharmaceutical activity. Refining and winterization produce a clear oil with excellent stability.
From this process, 2 grades are available, with a different level of winterization:

  • one grade resulting from a simple winterization: Avocado oil
  • one grade resulting from an extensive winterization: Premium avocado oil

The balanced composition of avocado oil (oleic acid 45-75%, palmitic acid 12-25%, unsaponifiables 0.5 - 2.5%), which is very close to that of sebum makes it a remarkably nourishing oil and one that is very well tolerated by even the most sensitive skins.

Avocado oil is produced by pressing dried fruits using a unique process developed by our pharmaceutical production service.
