Agrosurf NOE is a vegetable oil pressed from the fruits and seeds of the Neem tree, Azadirachta Indica, and contains a natural Insecticide, acaricide and fungicide called azadirachtin, a complex triterpenoid. It is not strictly a juvenile hormone mimic but has a more complex spectrum of activity. It acts as a potent antifeedant and also affects insect metamorphosis and development. In addition to azadirachtin, neem extracts contain compounds with antifeedant, repellency, growth regulator and oviposition deterrent activities and extracts of Neem seeds have been registered as pesticides for use in controlling a number of insects affecting ornamentals and horticultural crops. Neem Oil is not known to be harmful to mammals, birds and earthworms. Neem Oil works from inside the plant as it is a systemic insecticide, which means that in addition to foliar spraying a solution can be poured onto the soil, or container compost and the plants will absorb it, they take it up into their tissue, and it works from the inside. Neem Oil is a dark liquid in its normal state and to convert the form into a sprayable liquid, Lankem has developed an emulsifier system that produces a nice free flowing emulsion in an aqueous environment.

Agrosurf BPE211-EH is a powerful balanced pair emulsifier used in conjunction with Agrosurf BPE148-EH. Once the correct ratios are established these two emulsifiers can be used for a wide range of emulsifiable concentrates across many different pesticide types.

Kemsurf CA is a calcium salt of a biodegradable dodecylbenzene sulphonic acid. The base acid for Kemsurf CA is manufactured by SO3 sulphonation to produce a product of good color and low inorganic content. Kemsurf CA is a hydrophobic anionic surfactant and functions as an emulsifier for oils and aromatic solvents in the formulation of degreasers. It finds many applications, however, as an emulsifier for pesticide and herbicide systems, especially were spray application is involved. Kemsurf CA may also be used in the emulsification of waxes and hydrocarbon solvents. This product has good compatibility with other anionics and nonionic surfactants and maintains good stability, detergency, foaming power and soil suspension in alkaline, mild acid, low electrolyte and in hard or soft water.

Agrosurf NEC15T is a speciality nonionic developed as an emulsifier for use in emulsifiable concentrate formulations. It can be used in conjunction with the anionics found in the Agrosurf AEC range. These combinations are particularly effective in the preparation of emulsifiable organo-phosphorous insecticides and phenoxy ester herbicides.

A combination of both anionic and nonionic emulsifiers can provide good synergistic effects in terms of emulsion quality and stability.
