Pineclear 4307 is used in Specialty coatings and Thermoplastic applications. Very low color, stabilized rosin for enhanced heat stability. It provides excellent adhesion and high bio-renewable content.

Optirub™ OP A is a micronized, oxidized polyethylene that easily disperses into aqueous systems. Optirub OP A is processed to a 12 micron average particle size and formulated to give excellent rub resistance, lubricity, gloss and anti-blocking properties. Addition levels range from 0.5 to 2%, depending upon application requirements.

TerlonTM 605 A is a soybean oil alkyd. It can carry and print a higher load of pigment than bodied oils and conventional alkyds. Terlon 605 A shows good color retention characteristics and hence is recommended for use in heat induced drying applications. Terlon 605 A dries by oxidation and forms a flexible film. While drying times are slower than pure linseed oil based alkyds, initial odor and odor development during oxidation are markedly reduced. Terlon 605 A offers a very effective cost/quality ratio.

Setaprint™ 2390 A is designed to have higher dilution in low KB ink solvents. This resin has medium viscosity to yield ink vehicles with excellent setting and holdout properties for maximum gloss and hardness. Setaprint 2390 A is very versatile, combining high performance and consistency in most ink vehicle systems.

When printed on coated paper, a Trionol™ 3 A based ink partially penetrates and oxidizes, providing a tough anchor. The remainder of the Trionol 3 A remains on the surface as a film-forming coating that rapidly hardens to a tough, rub-resistant print. Trionol 3 A, with exceptionally good pigment wetting properties, can improve gloss, setting speed and rub resistance, in contrast with many pigment-wetting vehicles that detract from gloss and setting speed. The use of driers, resinates or reactive metals on pigment surfaces will gel Trionol 3 A. The increase in viscosity caused by the use of metallic driers can be modified by the addition of one-fourth the drier weight of an anti-skinning agent. The viscosity of Trionol 3 A is stable in finished inks. Trionol 3 A can replace drying oils in quickset and heatset vehicles to improve compatibility, solvent tolerance, pigment wetting, and rub resistance without sacrificing setting speed.

Filtrez™ 656 A is a high viscosity phenolic modified rosin ester with good solubility in aliphatic solvents. Filtrez 656 A is designed as an elastic resin exhibiting gel structure without the use of additional chelates. This resin can serve as a good foundation for building sheetfed and heatset systems, especially in high shear and high temperature applications.

Filtrez™ 591 A is an alcohol soluble, fumaric acid modified, rosin adduct with a high acid value and good solubility in glycol systems. Filtrez 591 A is designed especially for moisture set inks exhibiting fast setting and good press stability. Filtrez 591 A can also be used in pigment striking as an additive. The high acid value, low molecular weight and rosin nature can enhance the pigment’s receptivity to wetting.
