Filtrez™ 531 A is an alcohol soluble fumaric acid modified rosin ester with a high softening point and moderately high acid value. Filtrez™ 531 A can be used in solvent and water-based flexographic and in gravure inks. This resin can also be used as a leveling and gloss-promoting agent in floor polishes.

Filtrez™ 530 A is an alcohol soluble fumaric acid modified rosin ester with a high softening point and high acid value. Filtrez 530 A has good solubility and low viscosity in alcohol and aqueous ammonia solutions, which contributes to high gloss in overprint varnishes. This resin is commonly used in solvent and water-based gravure and flexographic inks. Filtrez 530 A also be used as a leveling and gloss-promoting agent in floor polishes.

Hydro-Rez™ 5614 A is a fumarated rosin ester that is soluble in alcohol and can be dispersed in water using ammonia or morpholine. The high melting point promotes fast solvent release and good leveling properties, and is compatible with shellac and Manila copal resins. Hydro-Rez 5614 A is recommended for use in solvent or water-based flexographic inks. This resin is also recommended for use in mineral spirit varnishes.

Ultrapoly™ 213 A is a fine particle size blend polyethylene/PTFE dispersed in a 100% non-volatile, hard-drying binder. Ultrapoly 213 A is recommended for both sheetfed and heatset inks where gloss retention, lubricity, abrasion and mar resistance are required. Ultrapoly 213 A is coatable and may be used for laser work. For optimum heat resistance, we recommend using 3 parts Ultrapoly 213 A to 1 part Fluoron™ 960 A (a 50% PTFE concentrate). Recommended usage level is 3 to 5%.

Polysperse™ A is a linear hydrocarbon produced by the Fischer-Tropsch process. Polysperse A has a unique spherical morphology and narrow distribution of particles for ease of dispersion and uniformity during processing. Polysperse A exhibits low surface tension, exceptional surface slip and smoothness, rub resistance, gloss, and non-marking properties. Addition levels range from 0.5-3%, depending upon application requirements.

Optirub™ PC A is a finely micronized, polyethylene and carnauba blend processed to an 8 micron average particle size. Optirub PC A is recommended for applications where gloss retention, clarity, or inter-coat adhesion is important. In addition, Optirub PC A provides an excellent combination of slip, wet scuff, mar and block resistance. Optirub PC A is not recommended for recoating, imprinting, gluing, and die-stamping applications. Recommended usage level is 1 to 3%.

Ultrafine™ 1000 A is a finely micronized polyethylene wax powder recommended when maximum rub and mar resistance, block resistance, slip, re-coatability and elevated processing temperatures are required. The average particle size of Ultrafine 1000 A is 7 microns with a narrow distribution of particle sizes for ease of dispersion and uniformity during processing. Addition levels range from 0.5 to 3%, depending upon application requirements.

Ultrapoly™ 2300 A is a softer bodied, pumpable version of Ultrapoly 210 A. Ultrapoly 2300 A is a high performance blend of tough, low COF polyethylene dispersed in a hard-drying binder. Ultrapoly 2300 A is recommended where abrasion and mar resistance, slip, and pumpability are required. Ultrapoly 2300 A is a 100% non-volatile and fast-setting, protecting the film in the earliest stages of the printing process, while developing exceptional toughness over time. Ultrapoly 2300 A is coatable and may also be used for laser work, when combined with PTFE. For optimum heat resistance, we recommend using 3 parts Ultrapoly 2300 A to 1 part Fluoron™ 735 A (a 50% PTFE concentrate). Recommended usage level is 4 to 6%.

Ultrapoly™ 211 A is a PTFE modified version of Ultrapoly 210 A. Ultrapoly 211 A is a high performance blend of tough, low COF polyethylene/PTFE dispersed in a hard drying binder. Ultrapoly 211 A is recommended where a high degree of slip, heat resistance, and abrasion resistance are required. Ultrapoly 211 A is 100% non-volatile and fast-setting. It protects the film in the earliest stages of the printing process while developing exceptional toughness over time. Ultrapoly 211 A is coatable and may be used for laser work. For optimum heat resistance, we recommend using 3 parts Ultrapoly 211 A to 1 part Fluoron™ 735 A (a 50% PTFE concentrate). Recommended usage level is 3 to 5%.

Filtrez™ 526 A is an alcohol soluble fumaric acid modified rosin ester. Filtrez 526 A has a low amine requirement due to its low acid value, thereby enhancing faster dry. This resin generates a high viscosity in water, thus allowing for lower resin solids in the final ink, and in this way providing improved economics.

Optirub™ SP1 A is a finely, micronized blend of tough polyethylene wax and premium grade PTFE. Optirub SP1 A is processed to a 6 micron average particle size and formulated to give a high degree of surface lubricity and rub resistance in inks and coatings. Addition levels range from 0.5 to 3%, depending upon application requirements.

Ultrafine™ 5W A is a Lawter™ micronized powder. It is a micronized pure polytetrafluoroethylene powder designed to help ink and coatings formulations achieve maximum rub resistance and lowest C.O.F. Ultrafine 5W A may be used in combination with other polymers for the most effective balance of cost versus performance.

Ultrafine™ 1W A is a polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder used to improve surface properties of printing inks and coatings. Ultrafine 1W A is designed for lubricity, abrasion and heat resistance and may be used in combination with other waxes for the most effective balance of cost and performance. Recommended usage level is 1 to 4%.

Ultrapoly™ 215 A is a softer-bodied, pumpable version of Ultrapoly 211 A. Ultrapoly 215 A is a high performance blend of tough, low COF polyethylene/PTFE and is recommended where a high degree of lubricity, abrasion and mar resistance, heat resistance, and pumpability are required. Optirub OP A is processed to a 12 micron average particle size and formulated to give excellent rub resistance, lubricity, gloss and anti-blocking properties. Addition levels range from 0.5 to 2%, depending upon application requirements.

Ultrapoly 210 A is 100% non-volatile and fast-setting. It protects the film in the earliest stages of the printing process while developing exceptional toughness over time.

Filtrez™ 5014 A is a patented alcohol soluble fumaric modified rosin ester developed for flexographic and gravure printing inks. Filtrez 5014 A is designed primarily for wetting pigment in water-based inks and coatings. This resin enhances viscosity stability, and is fast drying, low bronzing, low foaming, as well as having good wet and dry rub resistance.

Filtrez™ 591 A is an alcohol soluble, fumaric acid modified, rosin adduct with a high acid value and good solubility in glycol systems. Filtrez 591 A is designed especially for moisture set inks exhibiting fast setting and good press stability. Filtrez 591 A can also be used in pigment striking as an additive. The high acid value, low molecular weight and rosin nature can enhance the pigment’s receptivity to wetting.

Ultrafine™ 1WLS A is a premium polytetrafluoroethylene fine powder used to improve surface properties of printing inks and coatings. Ultrafine 1WLS A is designed for lubricity, abrasion and heat resistance and may be used in combination with other waxes for the most effective balance of cost and performance. Ultrafine 1WLS A is characterized by a slightly broader particle size distribution. Recommended usage level is 1 to 4%.
