We source our organic cardamom seeds from Sri Lanka. The cultivation areas are extensively certified organic and are managed by the farmers who live there. Through organic cultivation, the local farmers make their own personal daily contribution to dealing with nature in a way that is kind to nature.
After the manual harvest, the seeds of the cardamom fruits are separated, then gently dried and checked again. Many work steps are carried out traditionally and exclusively by hand.
In Austria, the cardamom seeds are pressure treated and checked again several times. When it comes to printing, the interaction of pressure and time ensures absolute freedom from pests.

Cardamom is said to have intoxicating and aphrodisiac effects. With this spice, it is again the essential oils that determine the tone (taste). They give the cardamom a strong, sharp and sometimes slightly sweet taste.
Our body enjoys this spice, especially with heavier foods of any kind, because it stimulates the production of saliva, gastric and bile juice, which in turn is very beneficial for our digestion. Cardamom is also very popular when the nose is blocked or the head hurts. It should also be mentioned that cardamom has been around since the 16th century B.C. was used in Egyptian recipes.
