Safety & Health
- Hazards
Lithium Hydroxide is corrosive in solid and solution. It causes burns in contact with eyes, skin or ingestion. Irritates the respiratory system, may cause coughing. On contact with eyes, flush with copious amounts of water and consult a doctor immediately.
Packaging & Availability

Storage & Handling
- Handling and Storage
It is recommended that lithium hydroxide is stored in a bunded area so that spillages are contained. Store away from acids, aluminum, zinc etc. Avoid generating lithium hydroxide dust or vapor. If this is unavoidable, use local exhaust ventilation.
