Sleep is crucial to a healthy life. Many different medications exist to treat sleep disorders, but these have serious side effects including dependency and cognitive impairment. Melatonin supplementation on the other hand is a safe and effective method to contribute to a faster sleep onset and normal sleep patterns. Melatonin is a naturally produced hormone that regulates the sleep-wake cycle. It is well tolerated and does not induce dependence. Furthermore, studies report that people using melatonin experience less severe jet lags, better self-recorded mood ratings and sleep parameters.
- Why liposomal Melatonin?
Although melatonin is relatively soluble in aqueous solvents, the bioavailability of oral melatonin is relatively low. This is due to high first-pass clearance in the liver and low absorption in the gastrointestinal tract. Standard products feature melatonin in free form in which it is subject to these biological challenges. By encapsulating melatonin in liposomes and protecting it from premature degradation while enhancing its intestinal absorption, our product partially overcomes these issues, increasing the chance of it reaching the site of action.

- This product is of hygroscopic nature. It should be stored in a tightly closed container in a dry and dark storage place at room temperature.
- Avoid long exposure to air and opening in humid environments.
