- Health Benefits Of Resveratrol
Resveratrol is a bioactive compound naturally occurring in a variety of plant, nut and fruit sources, including grapes, berries and peanuts. It belongs to the family of phytoalexins, which are antimicrobial compounds produced by plants in reaction to environmental stresses. The role of resveratrol in cardiovascular health is currently studied a lot. Studies have shown that resveratrol supports cardiovascular health. Resveratrol is absorbed by the endothelial cells lining blood vessels upon entering the bloodstream, from where it acts as a first line of protection of the vascular wall. Resveratrol originating from the Japanese knotweed roots and stems, like our liposomal resveratrol, is reported to have a strong antioxidant function.
- Why Take Liposomal Resveratrol?
Packed in liposomes – and more precisely in the phospholipid bilayer – resveratrol stays protected against premature degradation and gets a better chance to reach the intestinal site of uptake. In addition, with liposomes its chemical stability can be improved and a more controlled release can be achieved
