Use

New boat:  Wash with Boat Cleaner , rinse thoroughly with fresh water and allow to dry. Roughly sand the surface with sandpaper grain size 60-80 and wash off the dust. Immediately before each application, wipe the surface with Lefant IPA Surface Cleaner and a dry cloth to bind any condensation and residual dirt.

Previously painted boat:  Remove all old primer, primer in good condition sanded (roughness 60-80), primer in poor condition removed. Wash with Lefant Boat Cleaner and rinse thoroughly with fresh water. Fill any bumps and defects with Epoxi Filler . Immediately before each application, wipe the surface with Lefant IPA Surface Cleaner and a dry cloth to bind any condensation and residual dirt.

Iron and steel:  Blast or sand the surface with coarse paper (must not be sanded glossy), cover the surface immediately with 1 coat of Epoxy Primer thinned 20%. Paint another 1-3 layers and then fill in any irregularities and defects. Immediately before each application, wipe the surface with Lefant IPA Surface Cleaner and a dry cloth to bind any condensation and residual dirt.

Treatment of osmosis (plastic plague):  Remove all old paint / primer and open all blisters, rinse with fresh water daily for the first few weeks. Let the hull laminate dry! Surfaces where the gelcoat has been removed are filled with Lefant Epoxi Filler . To prevent osmosis (plastic plague) Paint 4-6 coats with Epoxy Primer before primer . Immediately before each application, wipe the surface with Lefant IPA Surface Cleaner and a dry cloth to bind any condensation and residual dirt.

Recommended Number of Layers

To achieve a moisture barrier treatment that provides protection against osmosis / plastic plague, apply 4-6 coats. 1-2 layers are applied as an adhesive base / primer before Lefant T-Coat and primer.

1 part hardener to 4 parts base, mix thoroughly.

Application

When spray painting, dilute approx. 20%. Painting should be done in dry weather with a substrate temperature exceeding + 5°C. Choose the color of the last layer based on the choice of color of the final color, e.g. white finish should be primed with white primer, etc.

Protective gloves, respiratory protection and disposable overalls.
