Technical Details & Test Data
- Technical Details
The exposome is the totality of exposures to which an individual is subjected throughout their life. The most important external exposome factors that can potentiate the aging appearance include pollution, sun radiation, pollen, greenhouse gasses and global warming. As concerns for climate change grow, so do concerns for the damage that these factors can cause to the skin and hair, including protein carbonylation, lipid peroxidation and DNA damage, which can negatively impact the skin and hair condition.
Xpozuki™ biotech ingredient showed in vitro to min- imize the exposomeinduced stress on skin cells and hair follicles, while supporting keratinocyte proliferation for an improved barrier protection. Ex vivo, it showed to protect multiethnic hair from the exposome with additional benefits related to dye and heat-induced damage. In vivo on multiethnic volunteers, it improved barrier function, skin tone and redness, and texture homogeneity. On hair, it protected against split ends, frizz, and fiber alignment.
- In Vitro and Ex Vitro Efficacy
- Minimized exposome stress-induced protein carbonylation on hair follicles.
- Multiethnic hair protection from exposome- induced protein carbonylation.
- Maintaining a healthy hair structure despite stress caused by heat and hair dyes.
- Preventing hair lipid peroxidation caused by solar radiation
- Exposome protection against oxidation.
- 100% protection against 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2’- deoxyguanosine.
- 59% protection against 8-hydroxyguanosine.
- Facilitates 27.6% increase in keratinocyte proliferation.
- Increased skin cell viability under exposome conditions.
- In Vivo Efficacy
