The oil is obtained from fresh liver of cod (Gadus morhua) and other species of Gadidae.
- Description of the oil
A pale yellow oil with slight odor and taste. It is neutralized, bleached, winterised and deodorized. The oil complies with current monograph for cod liver oil in the European Pharmacopeia. The oil is MSC certified. Vitamin A (retinol palmitate) and vitamin D3 (cholecalciferol) are added to the oil.

A pale yellow oil. Odor and taste are slightly fishy. The oil is obtained from the fresh livers of cod (Gadus morhua morhua) and other species of gadus. It is refined and clarified by filtration at about 0°C. The oil is deodorized.
- The cod liver oil complies with EU legislation on contaminants in foodstuffs.
- The cod liver oil is available in accordance with all major pharmacopeias.
- The cod liver oil can be fortified with vitamins A, D and E, antioxidants and flavors.
- The cod liver oil is packed under nitrogen and can be delivered in drums, IBC’s, flexitanks or tank containers.

- Stability and Storage Conditions
The oil must be stored in a cool place (at or below room temperature) and shielded from direct sunlight. Shelf life is guaranteed in unopened original containers only. Containers that have been opened must be flushed with nitrogen prior to re-sealing. Use the contents as soon as possible after opening. If prolonged storage of re-sealed containers is planned, the contents should be checked to ensure compliance.
