Product Highlights

MASTERFRAN @ ONE SOLUTION FOR:

1. LIGHTENING -  expanding masters are commonly used to reduce the weight of the artifacts;
also the decrease of the ratio weight / volume of the foam material allows a considerable reduction costs.
2.ELlMlNAR SUCKS - The blowing agents can be also used to eliminate phenomena of suction. Of course the depressions surfaces of printed parts created by the excessive shrinkage in areas particularly thick when cooling.
3. MORE estheticsS - Use of blowing agents together to the plastic material. allow you to give a look and finish to the touch that make the surface of the finished object matte and velvety.

Caps & closures

The expanding masterbatches contain reactive additives which, during the processing of the material, they create cavities by lightening the printed objects.

MASTERFRAN® are expanding masters where the active principle is incorporated in a polymeric support (often EVA) which makes it compatible with the most common plastics such as TPE-S, polyolefins, PVC, EVA, EPDM, polyurethane etc.
In the context of blowing additives it is possible to distinguish between endothermic and physical blowing agents that they have different properties and therefore different results on the finished product. Through the right proportions of more expanding agents it is in fact possible to obtain a fine and regular cellulation in the material expanded, thereby optimizing the properties of the printed object.
MASTERFRAN® are based both on physical blowing agents and on mixtures of physical blowing agents and endothermic with concentrations of active principle up to 65% in order to propose different levels & different ways of expanding and being able to satisfy all employment requests.

Instructions for use for Injection Molding
  • The thickness of the expanded part should exceed 5 mm.
  • It is advisable to operate with the nozzle closed.
  • The injection rate should be as low as possible to avoid premature expansion of gas.
