Maverick Corporation was founded in 1993 by Dr. Robert Gray and Mr. Eric Collins. The company’s cornerstones are research, development and large volume manufacturing of polyimide resins for high temperature environments. Maverick products are manufactured using green, non-toxic formulations with service temperatures from 400°F (204°C) to over 700°F (371°C). Our formulations include high temperature resin systems. MVK-14 FreeForm® is a high-temperature thermosetting polyimide resin with service capability up to 316°C (204°C wet). It is accompanied by an extensive database of mechanical and thermal properties. This database, generated by the National Center for Advanced Materials Performance (NCAMP), includes over 5,000 data points and makes MVK-14 FreeForm® ready for use in virtually any application requiring a high-temperature structural composite material. Jointly developed by Maverick and GE Aviation to replace PMR-15 and its highly toxic diamine 4,4’-methylenedianiline (MDA), MVK-14 FreeForm® contains no mutagenic or carcinogenic components. Although it is most suited for autoclave processing, its chemistry also allows for the use of compression molding. MVK-14 FreeForm® is available as a PMR-type resin solution from Maverick Corporation, or as a prepreg from Renegade Materials Corporation.

Maverick Corporation MVK-10 is a high‐temperature thermosetting polyimide resin with service capability up to288°C. Its low melt viscosity (300‐600 cP at 260°C) makes MVK‐10 one of a small number ofpolyimides suitable for use in resin transfer molding (RTM) processes. MVK‐10 compositesproduced produced by RTM exhibit exhibit no voids or microcracking microcracking.Originally developed by Maverick to replace PMR‐15 and its highly toxic diamine 4,4’‐methylenedianiline (MDA), MVK‐10 contains no mutagenic or carcinogenic components. Although it is most suited for RTM processing, its chemistry also allows for the use of autoclaveprocessing or compression molding. Maverick Corporation MVK-7000 is a vinyl phenolic resin developed for use in bearing liner applications. With a lower cost than Maverick’s polyimide products, MVK-7000 provides an economical alternative for bearing applications with lower service temperature requirements. MVK-7000 is available as a solution from Maverick Corporation.

Maverick Corporation AFR-PE-4 is a high-temperature thermosetting polyimide resin with service capability up to 343°C (260°C wet). Developed by the Air Force and commercialized by Maverick, it is intended for use in the highest temperature applications for structural composites. AFR-PE-4 does not contain the toxic diamine 4,4’-methylenedianiline (MDA) or any other mutagenic or carcinogenic components. Although it is most suited for autoclave processing, its chemistry also allows for the use of compression molding. AFR-PE-4 is available as a PMR-type resin solution from Maverick Corporation, or as a prepreg from Renegade Materials Corporation.

MVK-14 FreeForm®

Maverick Corporation MVK-19 is an ultra-high temperature polyimide resin with continuous service capability up to 371°C. MVK-19’s excellent thermal stability makes it suitable for use in some of the harshest applications for composite bearings and structures.MVK-19 does not contain the toxic diamine 4,4’-methylenedianiline (MDA) or any other carcinogenic or mutagenic component. Its chemistry makes MVK-19 most suitable to be processed by compression molding.MVK-19 was formulated and developed by Maverick, and it has been qualified for use in military and commercial jet engines since 1994. Maverick Molding Company manufactures MVK-19 molded parts in high-rate production at our Blue Ash facility. MVK-19 is available as a resin solution from Maverick Corporation.

Although it is most suited for autoclave processing, its chemistry also allows for the use of compression molding. MVK-16 is available as a PMR-type resin solution from Maverick Corporation, or as a prepreg from Renegade Materials Corporation.
