Beta-Glucan M™ also called “Sodium Carboxymethyl Beta-Glucan” is the sodium salt of a carboxymethyl ether of Beta-Glucan. It is commonly used as a binding agent and rheological modifier in personal care formulations. It is known to soothe irritated skin, support the skin’s own antioxidant activity, protect the skin from environmental damage, and help the skin to retain moisture.

Nuovo-Proline-16™ is a C16, C16 carboxyl derivative of the amino acid hydroxypro-line. Dipalmitoyl hydroxyproline promotes collagen synthesis and enhances skin tone. Additionally, it is an excellent moisturizer and functions as an anti-oxidant.

NuovoCare™ is a linear 1,3-β glucan obtained via fermentation of a marine bacterium. 1,3-β glucan is a naturally occurring polysaccharide that is recognized by immune cells and is a known biological response modifier and immune stimulator. The amount of 1,3-β linkages varies in beta glucans from different sources. NuovoCare™ contains up to 75% 1,3-β glycosidic bonds compared to approximately 30% in beta glucan from sources such as oat and mushroom. Accordingly, NuovoCare™ demonstrates strong anti-inflammatory, skin repair, and anti-oxidant potential. It also provides moisturization and anti-wrinkle benefits.

SkinBrite-30™ is a water soluble, diamide salt of azelaic acid that improves the technical characteristics for formulation. Azelaic acid itself has very poor water solubility, however, it is found in many grain proteins and is a beneficial component of the skin. Azelaic acid in the skin is a signaling compound for inflammation and induces the production of salicylic acid. The Potassium Azeloyl Diglycinate derivative is a safe, highly effective and multifunctional cosmetic ingredient. As the diamide potassium salt, SkinBrite-30 is a new ingredient that resolves many of the formulation difficulties of azelaic acid. SkinBrite-30 offers water solubility, requires less dosage, and has beneficial effects against inflammation.

T-Hexuron™ is a stable form of Vitamin C, more specifically, it is the tetra-ester of ascorbic acid and isopalmitic acid. T-Hexuron™ is oil-soluble, which means it not only penetrates the epidermis (the uppermost layer of your skin), but also goes farther into the dermis, the deeper layer—which is where it needs to be to stimulate collagen production. Finally, T-Hexuron™ is also known to clarify and brighten the skin by inhibiting melanogenesis (the production of pigment) thereby promoting a more even skin tone

SAP-Hexuron™ (SAP) is a stable vitamin C derivative that is cleaved enzymatically in the skin to release active vitamin C. It is produced by direct phosphorylation of ascorbic acid sodium salt where I-acorbic acid is suspended in oxygenated, nonhydroxylic solvent together with sodium and then treated with a phosphorylating agent. SAP-Hexuron™ is soluble in water and does not degrade in aqueous formulas. It is also an antioxidant that reduces oxidative stress by neutralizing free radicals, effectively slowing down the aging process and formation of fine lines and wrinkles.

MacPeptide™ AH8 is an anti-wrinkle peptide solution that improves skin elasticity by restoring the skin’s natural water barrier. It helps bind water to the skin improving dry skin. MacPeptide™ AH8 penetrates skin’s layers to reduce the appearance of wrinkles on the face. It is considered a neurotransmitter-inhibiting peptide because it may have the ability to target expression wrinkles.

MacDerma™ AZA (Azelaic Acid) is a saturated dicarboxylic acid that exists as a white powder. Azelaic Acid is commonly derived from natural ingredients such as wheat, rye, and barley. It can also come from the Malassezia furfur (also known as Pityrosporum ovale), which is a yeast that lives on normal skin. It is the bacterial degradation of nonanoic acid that yields azelaic acid. MacDerma™ AZA has been known to reduce the appearance of skin discoloration and redness, acne, and other skin blemishes.
