"Megara Resins was established in 1961 by Anastassios Fanis and has initially functioned as a unit which produced gum rosin and turpentine from Greek crude gum.

During the 1970’s, the company began producing paper size for the paper mill industry. A decade later, Megara Resins started the production of specialties from gum rosin such as esters, maleic resins, rosin modified, phenolics and amino resins for the paper industry. The production of alkyd and acrylic resins as well as new improved gum rosin products and specialties for the concrete and pulp industry flourished during the 90’s.

In the beggining of 2001, the company started the production of unsaturated polyesters for composites as well as the production of water based dispersions for the paint and adhesives industry. In 2011 Megara Resins started the production of saturated polyester resins and additives for Powder Coatings. three years later, in 2014, Megara Resins established company AKFA, via the acquisition of the manufacturing facilities of former Interchem/Neochimiki plant."

PUDRALAC low temperature Megamid XL curing resins, offer great benefits in the automotive industry, especially when applying to sensitive OEM parts. We market a special PUDRALAC range for formulating coatings for car wheels. For car repair finishes we offer Megalkyd a wide range of medium oil alkyd resins. Car body fillers can now be easily formulated based on our special unsaturated polyester resin UPR 300.

Pudralac 2680 gives low gloss coatings if dry blended with Pudralac 2780 based powders. It has excellent outdoor resistance with very good mechanical properties.

Pudralac 1380 contains special flow agent for clear coatings. It gives excellent transparency.

Pudralac 9160 gives high gloss and excellent flow with improved degassing. It is blooming free, with excellent outdoor resistance and very good mechanical properties.

Pudralac 9560 gives high gloss with excellent flow and high Tg. It blooming free with excellent outdor resistance and has exceptional mechanical properties.

Pudralac 1480 is a medium reactive resin, gives high gloss with superior outdoor resistance and blooming-free surface.

Pudralac 1580 is a medium reactive resin, gives high gloss and excellent flow with improved degassing. It has excellent outdoor resistance and improved storage stability.

Pudralac 1080 is a medium reactive resin, gives very good flow and excellent outdoor resistance.  It has outstanding overbaking resistance.
