Adequate ventilation is required during the application process. Avoid inhalation of the vapors, because Isocyanate could irritate mucous membranes. Approved eye protection and gloves are recommended during application. For the cleaning of the equipment we recommend Polycomp cleaner.

Rubber granules and binder PC 31-050 are mixed in a mixer for 3-5 minutes. The finished mixture is processed with a finisher. When processing adequate compaction of granular covering is to be ensured. Seams shall be compacted by means of additional smoothing trowel. To achieve optimum adhesion between asphalt and granular covering a previous priming with PC 11-010 is absolutely necessary. The substrate must be dry, clean and free of dirt, fats and oils.
Cure Time
The cure time varies with temperature and humidity. High temperature and high humidity will decrease cure time while low temperature and low humidity will increase it. At temperatures below 10 °C, curing of PC 31-050 is very slow. If a surface is installed at humidity below 35 % and temperatures below 15 °C, cure can be accelerated by slightly moisten the surface with water.- Storage
PC 31-050 should be stored in a dry and cool place. Shelf life of product stored in unopened original containers is 6 months, contents must be protected against moisture. After prolonged storage the suitability of PC 31-050 needs to be examined. Open containers have to be closed carefully, protected against moisture and used as soon as possible.
