Technical Details & Test Data
- Processing Information
Aqua-Brite SD 1600-CT is broadly compatible with most aqueous coatings systems with or without additions of co-solvent. A pH range between 7.5 - 8.5 is suggested for optimum stability. The granules should be first soaked in an equal volume of water or co-solvent before adding binder. Dispersion with minimal shear is suggested to avoid damaging the pigment. If necessary, the pigment can first be pre-dispersed into either water, iso-propanol, Dowanol PM (glycol ether) or a combination of those. It is not recommended to make a pre-dispersion in butyl glycol. Further guidelines are available from Metaflake technical department.
