Applications & Uses

- Applications
- Applications
Use MICORTHANE™ 6 -23 as a stand alone sealer with our MICOROX®103 PRIMER, or as a top coat over our MICOROX® FLOORLIFE trowelled or slurry flooring systems to provide high gloss, ultra violet light protection, and additional chemical, abrasion and wear resistance.
- Surface Preparation
Preparation is the most important part of any installation. Be sure that the surface to be coated is dry, clean, sound and free of grease, oil, old coatings, concrete curing compounds, dust and any other foreign material which may inhibit adhesion, by acid etching or mechanical means.
- Mixing & Application
- Insure that the surface to be coated is clean, sound and free of grease, oil and old coatings.
- Read and understand all label warnings and the material safety data sheets.
- Remove ignition sources from work and insure adequate ventilation.
- Make sure that the area of application is well ventilated and that the air will not vent into any other occupied area.
- Empty complete contents of hardener bottle into the resin container and mix for 2 -3 minutes until a uniform blend is achieved.
- Application of a thin coat using a brush or roller.
DO NOT ALLOW MATERIAL TO PUDDLE. MICORTHANE™ 6 -23 is not designed to provide a perfectly smooth finish.
- Temperature Limitations
During installation and cure the surface temperatures between 60°F - 90°F are recommended. The material should be at room temperature, as well. Lower temperatures will greatly increase the cure time.
