It is bright and golden in color and highly favored in the carrier oil family because of its advanced molecular stability. It is liquid at room temperature and because of its unique fatty acid profile it does not oxidize or become rancid. The properties of Jojoba Oil resembles that of sebum, an oily substance that is produced by human skin to prevent it from drying out. It is readily absorbed and does not evaporate like water based moisturizers, making it an excellent ingredient in skin and hair care formulations. Of all the compounds in nature, this wax ester is most similar to human skin oil (sebum), thus applying jojoba to the skin can “trick” the skin into thinking it is producing enough oil, subsequently balancing oil production.

If stored in unopened conteiners at less than 20°C, this product can expect to have a shelf life of 12 months in bulk or 24 months bottled in dark glass. Once opened the shelf life is limited by temperature, light and oxygen exposure Any remaining oil should be blanketed with Nitrogen and used as soon as possible.
