Millers Oils founder, John Watson Miller, originally bought the company for £265 in 1887 In 1889, John Watson Miller himself wrote to all customers with news that the company would be changing its name to Millers Oils and also stated that ‘the quality of my oil will be rigidly adhered to’. The Miller family was always a pivotal part of the business and its passion for success drove innovation. Early successes included gear oil for Ford, and the first long drain interval engine oil for trucks. The business has progressed over its long and rich history, with award winning products and innovations, and yet has always kept its roots firmly in Brighouse, West Yorkshire."
