Minerios Ouro Branco Coated Calcium Carbonate

Minerios Ouro Branco Coated Calcium Carbonate is obtained from the surface treatment of natural calcium carbonate with calcium stearate or stearic acid, in order to lower abrasion and provide the material with a hydrophobic characteristic. Coated calcium carbonate is white, fine, odorless, insoluble, hydrophobic powder with low oil absorption.

    • Plastics application : Widely used in thermoplastic resins as a reinforcing filler, mainly in PVC, improving mechanical properties, increasing strength and hardness, helping with fluidity during material injection, decreasing abrasion, in addition to dispersing pigments and helping to decrease the permeability of films porous.
    • General applications : Reinforcing filler, flow agent, anti-wetting agent, anti-pelletizing agent for dispersing solids, it is used as a hydrophobic load improving the water resistance of the systems.
