SF96® 50 silicone fluids are polydimethylsiloxanes ranging from low to medium viscosity. They are available in 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 350, 500 and 1000 centistokes at 25C (77F). As viscosity increases, they become substantive emollients and have different sensory profiles especially in absorbency, spreadability, smoothness, oiliness and tackiness parameters. Higher viscosity dimethicones have a greater perception of absorbency, smoothness and tackiness, but a lower perception of spreadability and oiliness.

Silsoft™ 034 Organosilicone Fluid is a low viscosity alkyl modified trisiloxane that may improve feel and spreadability of mineral, vegetable and ester oils in personal care formulations. This silicone fluid may also improve dispersability of inorganic in mineral oil. This product is an outstanding option in skin care products to provide a silky afterfeel and to reduce the rub-on time of lotions and creams.

Momentive Performance Materials SE30 Conditioning Agent, a high molecular weight linear dimethicone gum, is an excellent candidate to consider for use as a conditioning agent for skin and hair. It can also help enhance transfer resistance in color cosmetics through its synergistic effect with silicone resins. The addition of Silsoft SE30 conditioning agent to a soap bar can promote similar properties to those of a syndet bar by increasing the creaminess and amount of lather.

Silsoft™ 840 Conditioning Agent is a copolymer of polydimethylsiloxane and polyethylene/polypropylene-oxide that may offer solubility in water and lower alcohols. It may provide light conditioning in shampoos, small bubble size and richness in foam and flexible hold and rinseability in hair fixatives.

Momentive Performance Materials SF1708 Silicone Fluid is a clear, non-reactive amodimethicone. This product's physical and chemical properties have been optimized to deliver maximum conditioning benefits for damaged hair. It is particularly useful for hot oil intensive treatments, leave-in conditioners, rinse-off conditioners and pomades.
