MEI® 22-09 Contact Adhesive

MEI® 22-09 Contact Adhesive is a water based adhesive that is milky white when wet, but dries to form a clear film. It has excellent adhesion to polystyrene foam, wood, fabrics and other materials. 22-09 Contact Adhesive is an excellent fabrication adhesive to use on polystyrene insulation.

Limitations
  • Urethane foam may be warped by water based material.
  • Test before using.
  • Keep from freezing.
  • Do not apply below 50ºF.
Application

This product is for industrial use only. It should be applied by trained and qualified craftspeople. Use clean equipment. Spray equipment should be stainless steel construction. Apply adhesive in an even coat to both surfaces. Allow to dry before bonding. When dry, align the coated surfaces and press firmly together.

Clean Up

Warm soapy water or Trichloroethylene.

Coverage

200 sq.ft./gal. of surface to be adhered. The coverage rate is dependent on the surface being covered and the application method.

Bonding Time

The adhesive must be dry before bonding. The adhesive is dry when the color changes from white to clear. It usually takes one half hour, but this depends on ambient conditions. After drying you have a bond time of one (1) hour.
