Thanakha grows in Southeast Asia like Myanmar and Thai, but the number of it is not that much. Myanmarese have used it for about 2000 years. The pulp of its fruit is for curing bites and meshed roots are for removing spots or blemish. Coumarin and terpenoids in thanaka reduces the formation of NO, which results in anti-inflammatory effect.
